lyrics

We wandered through the desert mounds
The sun it lashed the blood stained grounds
An inner voice our only guide
But was it light or darkness?

And though I doubt I do not fear
What angels may be coming here
We move with pride and do contrive
That we should walk with purpose

He said I had the inside track
He said that we should never lack
With all my brothers gathered round
We danced until there was no sound

His words resound inside my skull
“It’s you that must betray us all
take this secret and bear this shame
On your name for all of future history”

“You do the great disservice
No word can ever leave your lips
Upon this act here lies the weight,
Of the entire edifice”

The hardest word the word of truth
The word that shines in blinding proof
The moment of epiphany
Embodied in the corpus

The sacred blood pact came to pass
Profane and blessed to the last
In the end the twin did rise
And here he stood before us

With drunken devils I will burn
And writhe for all eternity
The greatest sacrifice was mine
If reason ever follow rhyme

We wandered through the desert sands
The sun it lashed our blood stained lands
An inner voice our only guide
But was it dark or lightness?

So here I lie on my own cross
Misunderstood the sin of loss
This is the end of my time here
It’s for my friends to tell the story
